B Shift Packer Handler
About the role
The packer/handler position involves inspecting and packaging products according to Amcor Corporation quality standards and guidelines. This role requires maintaining a safe and organized work area, inspecting product quality, and responding promptly to quality issues.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area
- Inspect product to ensure quality, set aside substandard items, and notify supervisors of quality issues
- Work closely with leads and alert Mold Tech and Supervisor of any quality issues or reject conditions
- Watch molds for irregularities or sticking and respond accordingly
- Complete assembly of product by installing gaskets in lids and handles in containers
- Flame containers and lids when required
- Stack and pack product according to customer and order instructions
- Prepare proper product identification and/or packaging labels
- Absorb downtime to clean up, sweep, mop, make boxes, or other tasks as assigned
- Accurately complete any required paperwork
- Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned
Requirements
Must be able to keep up with fast-paced production cycles, maintain attention to detail, and tolerate constant repetition. Some workstations may require sitting or standing for long periods. Must be able to frequently lift, bend, and reach to perform necessary job functions, lift up to 25 pounds safely, identify alpha/numeric product codes, and work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and overtime.

Qualifications
Must be able to identify alpha/numeric product codes and work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and overtime. Previous production experience is preferred but not required. Good communication skills and ability to work alone and in a group setting are also desirable.
