Azure IAM Engineer

About the role

The Azure IAM Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing Azure Active Directory (AAD) role-based access control, privileged identity management, conditional access policies, and identity protection and governance.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement AAD RBAC, PIM, and other security features to meet organizational needs.
• Manage and monitor AAD policies to ensure compliance and security.
• Implement and maintain conditional access policies to secure user access based on risk factors.
• Ensure identity protection and governance are in place to prevent unauthorized access and protect sensitive data.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Stay updated with the latest Azure IAM best practices and industry trends.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Azure IAM roles.
• Experience with Microsoft Entra ID and Azure AD.
• Strong understanding of role-based access control, privileged identity management, and conditional access.
• Knowledge of identity protection and governance principles.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Passion for technology and a strong interest in cybersecurity.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python.
• Experience with Azure CLI or Azure PowerShell.
• Understanding of cloud security concepts and principles.
