Job Description

The DevSecOps & MLOps Engineer is responsible for the configuration and administration of the Azure DevOps (ADO) and Azure Machine Learning (AML) environments. This role uses expertise to streamline the data science lifecycle and enable agile delivery through continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, code repos, test plans, and boards. The engineer will work closely with cross-functional agile teams to ensure understanding and best practices within Azure DevOps and Azure Machine Learning.

  • Promote DevSecOps principles and culture across the organization.
  • Streamline the data science and development lifecycles by identifying pain points and productivity barriers.
  • Collaborate with development teams to understand current build and release processes and recommend improvements.
  • Partner with stakeholders, including Data Architecture, Data Engineering, Data Science, Business Intelligence, Robotic Process Automation, quality assurance, and security.
  • Provide guidance to development teams to improve solution performance and operability.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to improve developer productivity, agility, and code quality.
  • Develop and improve automation solutions for efficient and consistent code deployment.
  • Build automated testing to reduce manual effort and improve product quality.
  • Ensure systems meet business and customer needs for reliability and availability.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot complex production issues with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Prepare and present design and implementation documentation.
  • Maintain application performance and service quality, including root cause analysis and issue resolution.

Education

A bachelor’s degree or equivalent applied experience is required.

Experience

Candidates must have 5+ years of experience within Information Technology, with required experience in Azure DevOps & MLOps.

Technical Skills

  • Experience developing Azure DevOps pipelines and automated workflows.
  • Proficiency in one or more coding/scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python.
  • Experience in configuration management, test-driven development, and release management.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies and a strong understanding of DevSecOps principles.
  • General SQL understanding and troubleshooting skills.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a DevSecOps/MLOps Engineer is desired.
  • A AZ-400 DevOps Engineer Certification is desired.
  • Experience with Data & Analytics Teams is desired.
