Azure Data Engineer

Role Description

We are leading a Digital Transformation across our Americas Division as we modernize technology, adopt a data-driven approach, grow, and plan for the future. As part of this expansion, we seek experienced Software Data Engineers with 5+ years of relevant experience to design and develop a strategic data platform for our Capital Markets and Securities business. Positions are available in Charlotte (NC), Jersey City (NJ), and India.

Role Objectives

These roles will be part of the Data Strategy team spanning Capital Markets, Securities, broker-dealer, and swap-dealer entities. Responsibilities include:

• Actively developing the data platform in coordination with internal technology and data teams
• Establishing a reference data system for securities and pricing data
• Expanding to additional data domains over time
• Following internal development standards to contribute to the Data Strategy team’s agenda
• Implementing the strategic platform on the Azure Cloud Platform

Qualifications and Skills

• Proven experience as a Data Engineer with hands-on experience in Azure Cloud
• Implementation experience using:
  • Azure Cloud Services
  • Azure Data Factory
  • Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2
  • Azure Databases
  • Azure Data Fabric
  • API Gateway Management
  • Azure Functions
  • Azure Databricks
• Strong SQL skills with experience in RDBMS or NoSQL databases
• Experience developing APIs using FastAPI or similar frameworks in Python
• Familiarity with the DevOps lifecycle, including Git and Jenkins
• Experience with CI/CD processes
• Good understanding of ETL/ELT processes
• Experience in the financial services industry, including financial instruments, asset classes, and market data (plus)
