Azure Cloud Cybersecurity Architect

About the role

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing technology initiatives to secure our client's key government client's cloud environment. They will assist in strategic planning and architecture, and securing enterprise information by identifying network and application security requirements, implementing and testing security controls and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Enable Cloud Cybersecurity controls and compliance requirements and remediation programs based on business priorities and risks to address Cyber-Security, Cyber Defense and Business needs of our customer.
• Manage security policies and initiatives in Azure, including Identity Access and Management concepts, multifactor authentication, SSO/Federation, Privileged Access Management.
• Set up and configure the Azure security platforms, and manage end-to-end security on the Azure Cloud regions.
• Conduct network and application vulnerability testing as it relates to Azure systems.
• Understand and implement security concepts & tools related to CI/CD pipelines, and software scanning.
• Demonstrate understanding of Information Security and Risk Management capabilities related to cloud computing across Windows and Linux, with direct experience in ICAM, Authentication and Authorization, Zero-Trust Model, Defense-In-Depth, Governance and Compliance, Securing Data, Securing the Operating System, Protecting the Network Layer, Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation, Alerting, Audit Trail, and Incident Response.
• Collaborate with external clients, business leadership, and auditors.
• Work with various Azure security tools/platforms such as Extended Detection and Response (XDR), Data Protection, Identity and Access Management (IAM), Monitoring Compliance, and others.

Requirements

Candidates must have experience in Microsoft Azure Cloud and Gov-Cloud environments, preferably with a Bachelor’s degree in a technology field and 5+ years of cyber-related experience in a commercial environment. Certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, and Azure/AWS/Google Security specific training and certification are desired.

Qualifications

• Experience in Government environments and Gov-Cloud experience is preferred.
• Strong understanding of Identity, Credential and Access Management (ICAM), Authentication and Authorization including SSO and Identify Federation, Zero-Trust Model, Defense-In-Depth, Governance and Compliance, Securing Data, Securing the Operating System, Protecting the Network Layer, Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation, Alerting, Audit Trail, and Incident Response.
• Knowledge of Azure security tools/platforms such as Extended Detection and Response (XDR), Data Protection, Identity and Access Management (IAM), Monitoring Compliance, and others.
• Experience in collaborating with external clients, business leadership, and auditors.

Skills

• Microsoft Azure Cloud experience preferred; Gov-Cloud experience preferred.
• Experience in managing security policies and initiatives in Azure.
• Experience with Identity Access and Management concepts, multifactor authentication, SSO/Federation, Privileged Access Management.
• Experience in setting up and configuring the Azure security platforms.
• Experience in conducting network and application vulnerability testing as it relates to Azure systems.
• Understanding of security concepts & tools related to CI/CD pipelines, and software scanning.
• Understanding of Information Security and Risk Management capabilities related to cloud computing across Windows and Linux.
• Experience in collaborating with external clients, business leadership, and auditors.
