Azure and Databricks Architect

About the role

Join the Infosys Communications, Media, and Technology (CMT) unit, a dynamic and innovative division dedicated to driving digital transformation and growth for clients in the telecommunications, media, and technology sectors. As an Architecture Consultant, you will leverage deep industry insights and strategic leadership to deliver innovation-led transformation through digital, cloud, and AI-first solutions. The role focuses on building and nurturing high-impact partner ecosystems and driving long-term, strategic client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Create business requirement documents covering functional and non-functional requirements based on workshops and interviews with client stakeholders.
• Review, propose, and develop solution architecture, ensuring designs are scalable, reliable, and maintainable while aligning with the proposed framework.
• Assess and recommend suitable technologies, tools, and platforms for implementation as part of architectural design to meet business requirements.
• Review technical solutions and develop strategies for integration with different technologies and systems to ensure seamless communication and data flow.
• Resolve complex technical challenges during build, deployment, and support phases while promoting reusable frameworks and artifacts.
• Provide specialized insights to the development team and build collaborative relationships with clients and internal teams for successful project execution.
• Identify potential risks in the system landscape, monitor system performance, and suggest optimization initiatives aligned with business requirements and long-term objectives.
• Establish and uphold a comprehensive knowledge base to ensure vital information is systematically recorded and readily available.
• Contribute to proposals and RFPs by delivering insights related to architectural solutions for successful delivery.

Requirements

• Strong experience in Azure cloud architecture with hands-on expertise in Azure Databricks.
• Deep knowledge of SQL for data transformation, optimization, and analytics.
• Strong experience with Azure services such as Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Key Vault.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Delta Lake, Medallion Architecture, and modern lakehouse implementations.
• Exposure to Python/PySpark for data engineering workloads.
• Familiarity with DevOps/CI-CD pipelines in Azure environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution. Three years of progressive experience in the specialty may substitute for each year of education.
• This position may require relocation and/or travel to work/project location.
