AWW1 Machine Operator 1 6am-6pm (Onsite)

About the Role

As a Machine Operator 1 at Pratt & Whitney, you will operate a variety of production machines, including CMM, polish wheel, grinding machines, and EDM. This position involves performing routine operations and may require training on shifts other than the primary AWW1 shift.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret process sheets.
• Deburr and clean parts.
• Make minor offset changes (if required) with oversight.
• Frequently utilize measuring devices and assess product acceptance based on blueprint specifications.
• Perform preventative maintenance and document results.
• Complete Daily Walk Around (DWA) and utilize communication logs.
• Frequently move about the machine line to operate various manufacturing equipment (~90% of the time).
• Transport product and/or equipment weighing up to 10 pounds.
• Run all equipment in the work loop and produce products at rate per standard work.
• Perform additional tasks within the scope and skill level of this position to support department objectives and skill development.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• U.S. citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of machine operator experience.
• Proficient with use of machine tools and precision measuring instruments.
• Aptitude for mathematics, including ability to read blueprints and work from drawings.
