AWS Python Developer
About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior AWS Python Developer with a strong background in AWS cloud services, scalable application development, and DevOps practices. The ideal candidate will have a passion for building robust, secure, and scalable applications using modern cloud native technologies and development practices.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy applications on AWS Cloud.
- Build scalable code in Python and/or Java.
- Build APIs on AWS cloud.
- Implement sound version control best practices for code deployment in AWS.
- Use CI/CD with Terraform pipelines and GitLab.
- Develop web applications on AWS cloud.
- Write scripts and automate processes using Python, PHP, Node.js, etc.
- Perform front-end development using Angular/ADK, TypeScript (if applicable).
- Manage SQL databases such as DynamoDB, Postgres, Oracle, etc.
- Monitor and tune applications.
- Deploy serverless applications and familiarize with AWS Services.
- Utilize automation frameworks.
- Participate in code reviews and Agile ceremonies.
- Contribute to documentation creation.
- Collaborate with product owners and development team members to define new features and user stories.
- Work with other cloud services like Azure or GCP (if applicable).
- Use AWS CodeCommit, CodeBuild, CodePipeline, and other AWS CI/CD tools.
Requirements
- 7+ years' experience developing and deploying applications on AWS Cloud.
- Strong development experience in Python and/or Java.
- Experience building APIs on AWS cloud.
- Experience with version control and deployment in AWS.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD using Terraform pipelines and GitLab.
- Experience building web applications on AWS cloud.
- Experience in scripting and automation using Python, PHP, Node.js, etc.
- Experience in front-end development using Angular/ADK, TypeScript (if applicable).
- Strong SQL skills in databases, including DynamoDB, Postgres, Oracle, etc.
- Experience in application monitoring and tuning.
- Experience deploying serverless applications and familiarity with AWS Services.
- Experience in building automation using frameworks.
- Ability to respond to trouble/support calls for applications in production.
- Ability to create or update documentation in support of development efforts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field required.
- Familiarity with other cloud services like Azure or GCP (if applicable).
- Familiarity with CI/CD with AWS CodeCommit, CodeBuild, CodePipeline, and other AWS CI/CD tools.

To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $55,700.00 - $137,100.00.
