The AWS Platform Engineer Principal role focuses on driving automation excellence and ensuring secure, high-performing systems within the Corporate organization. This position requires a talented engineer with extensive experience in AWS services and automation tools. The engineer will lead technical direction, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and optimize system performance and availability. This role is crucial for enhancing system resilience and delivering strategic integrations that support business growth.

Requirements

• 7-9+ years of hands-on expertise in AWS platform engineering.
• Experience with automation using Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and platform governance.
• Ability to lead and mentor teams on AWS platform best practices.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related subject.

Responsibilities

• Design, automate, and deploy AWS resources using CI/CD pipelines.
• Guide the team on technical solution design and deployment feasibility.
• Collaborate with application teams to understand technical requirements and deliver solutions.
• Prioritize backlog items, feature stories, and platform enhancements in Jira.
• Provide L3-L4+ support during major incidents, guiding teams on root cause analysis and resolution.
• Lead troubleshooting across complex infrastructure, networking, and application integrations.
• Drive technical decision-making, architecture reviews, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Ensure accountability for delivery timelines, governance compliance, and operational stability.
