AWS Java Developer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy Java-based cloud-native applications
• Build and manage AWS-based solutions and data platforms
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define modernization strategies and technical solutions
• Develop and maintain ETL processes and data pipelines
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to security and coding standards
• Troubleshoot and resolve application and infrastructure issues
• Optimize applications for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency
• Work closely with product owners, business analysts, and development teams in an Agile environment

Requirements

• 7+ years of hands-on experience with Java, J2EE, Spring Framework/Spring Boot, and Hibernate
• 5+ years of experience with AWS services including EC2, S3, Lambda, ECS/EKS, RDS, API Gateway, Glue, Athena, and VPC
• Experience modernizing and migrating legacy applications to AWS cloud environments
• Strong knowledge of relational databases and database modernization strategies
• Experience with AWS ETL jobs, data pipelines, and large-scale data processing
• Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD, and automation tools
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills

Nice to Have

• Experience with Power BI or AWS QuickSight
• AWS Certification(s)
• State Government experience
