About the Opportunity:The AWS DATA PLATFORM ENGINEER role involves designing, building, and optimizing cloud-based data platforms on AWS. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining efficient data pipelines, automating cloud infrastructure, and implementing data governance and quality measures. The role contributes significantly to delivering reliable, scalable data products that support the organization's data-driven objectives. Responsibilities:Design and manage AWS data platforms using Glue, EMR, Lake Formation, EC2, and CloudWatch.Develop and optimize data pipelines with Python, PySpark, and SQL.Implement open table formats such as Apache Hudi or Apache Iceberg.Automate infrastructure and deployments with Terraform (IaC).Implement data validation, cleansing, security, and monitoring mechanisms.Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver reliable and scalable data products. Requirements:Hands-on experience with AWS data services, especially Glue, EMR, and Lake Formation.Proficiency in Python, PySpark, and advanced SQL.Practical experience with Apache Hudi or Apache Iceberg.Experience with Terraform and infrastructure as code.Knowledge of data security, governance, quality, and optimization.Advanced English proficiency (C1) and strong communication skills.Preferred: experience in financial services or investment banking, real-time processing with Apache Flink or Kafka Streams, and event-driven architectures.
