About the role
HireArt is assisting a leading global AI developer in their search for an experienced AWS Cloud Operations/System Administrator.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain AWS-based infrastructure, ensuring systems remain secure, up-to-date, and operationally efficient.
- Lead upgrade and remediation efforts across services and dependencies.
- Identify and remediate systems approaching end-of-life or end-of-support (EOL/EOS).
- Manage large-scale patching initiatives and perform upgrades with minimal downtime and operational impact.
- Identify repetitive operational tasks and implement automation, self-healing mechanisms, and monitoring improvements.
- Maintain and improve infrastructure using tools such as AWS SSM, Terraform, Atlantis, and Kubernetes.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in AWS administration.
- Hands-on experience with core AWS services (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, EKS).
- Proven experience managing patching programs and performing system and middleware upgrades with minimal downtime.
- Proficiency with infrastructure and configuration management tools (AWS SSM, Terraform, Atlantis, Kubernetes).
- Experience with scripting (Bash, Python) for operational automation.
- Experience with monitoring tools (Datadog, CloudWatch).
- Strong understanding of system reliability, security, and operational best practices.

Pay
$68.00 - $80.00 USD Per Hour
Schedule
The role is remote and open to U.S.-based candidates, with a preference for candidates who can work PST hours.
