About the role
As a Cloud Migration Architect at Quantiphi, you will be instrumental in our Platform Engineering team, leading the delivery of advanced solutions in Application Development, Platform Engineering, Data Engineering, Analytics, and Machine Learning for our clients. This role requires experience in workload migration from on-premise datacenter environments to AWS, enabling clients to leverage the full potential of cloud capabilities.

Responsibilities
- Lead workload migration from on-premise datacenter environments to AWS.
- Perform VMware environment assessment and migration planning.
- Conduct wave planning, dependency analysis, and stakeholder engagement.
- Apply strong AWS architecture, security, and compliance knowledge.
- Utilize different migration approaches (Rs) with recent experience in rehosting (Lift and Shift) to AWS EC2.
- Work with tools like Cloud Endure, Double-Take, AWS Migration Hub, AWS Application Migration Service (MGN), AWS Server Migration Service (SMS), and AWS Database Migration Service (DMS).
- Design and implement AWS services including EC2, S3, auto-scaling, Landing Zone, and Control Tower.
- Use AWS Migration Evaluator and Portfolio Assessment tools to analyze migration strategies.
- Troubleshoot Linux/Windows OS issues during migration.
- Monitor cloud infrastructure and application performance using tools like Amazon CloudWatch.
- Optimize database queries and application performance post-migration.
- Build and manage container hosting platforms using Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS EKS.
- Work in an Agile and DevOps environment.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in AWS Cloud Migration (EC2, EBS, VPCs, Migration Hub, MGN).
- Experience with on-prem VMware/other platform-based Virtual Machine Lift and Shift (Rehost) migration to AWS EC2.
- Proficiency in service-oriented architecture and cloud-based web services architecture, design patterns, and frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of cloud-related services such as compute, storage, network, and messaging (e.g., SNS, SQS).
- Familiarity with on-prem VMware ecosystem (vSphere, vCenter, ESX, NSX) and tools like vMotion, VM Export/Import.
- Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis).
- Skills in systems management and automation tools like Puppet, Chef, and Ansible.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer).
