Responsibilities
- Develops strategy and integration methodology around design, development and implementation of cloud-based solutions
- Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analysis for total systems
- Utilizes trends and metrics to identify opportunities for improvements within existing frameworks, tools and processes
- Enables the quick development and release of changes and bug-fixes on an as-required basis and incorporation of feedback from developers/users
- Develops technical solutions to complex problems
- Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignment
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in cloud engineering or related fields
- IAT-2 certification or higher
- One or more cloud certifications (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Developer, etc.)
- Strong experience with cloud architecture, deployment, and management
- Proven ability to develop and implement cloud solutions in complex environments
- Experience with system integration, verification, and validation processes
- Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments
- Ability to analyze and troubleshoot system performance and configuration issues
- Excellent problem-solving skills and technical expertise
Desired Skills
- Experience with automation tools such as CloudFormation, Terraform, or Ansible
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge of scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell
- Experience working in a government or highly regulated environment
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams
