Responsibilities

  • Design, write, test, document, and implement application systems based on customer requirements.
  • Apply software development and testing knowledge to solve a range of problems effectively.
  • Collaborate with team members to elevate technology and apply best practices consistently.
  • Work closely with customers and cross-functional departments to communicate project statuses and proposals.
  • Document system or application aspects for future upgrades and maintenance.
  • Absess user needs and create software to meet those requirements.
  • Identify and resolve issues during design, testing, and maintenance processes.
  • Work in an agile environment to deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Prepare and install solutions by determining and designing system specifications and standards.
  • Mentor junior team members to enhance their technical capabilities.
  • Continue professional development through reading, workshops, conferences, and communities of practice.
  • Perform other job duties as directed by leadership.

Qualifications

  • Intermediate knowledge of software development methodologies, practices, and technologies.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language.
  • Ability to analyze and manage complex technical or business problems and provide viable solutions.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and collaboration skills with various teams.
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments while maintaining a high level of completion.
  • Experience mentoring others and fostering team growth.
  • Ability to develop and present ideas and strategies effectively to diverse audiences.

About the Role

The Software Engineer will design, develop, test, document, and implement application systems that are functionally appropriate, technically sound, and well-integrated. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, problem-solving skills, and adherence to organizational methodologies and standards. The engineer will also respond to production issues and implement immediate resolutions across various technology areas.

Qualifications

  • Required: High School Diploma or GED.
  • Required: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.
  • Intermediate-level experience with broad knowledge in software engineering.

Physical Abilities

  • Ability to perform work duties from a limited space workstation/desk/office area for extended periods.
  • Ability to communicate and interact in English to meet job demands.
  • Proficiency in using a computer and office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy.

The specific compensation for this position will be determined by several factors, including the scope, complexity, and location of the role, as well as the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
