About the role
This is a 100% remote opportunity. The AWS Cloud Administrator will leverage their strong technical background and knowledge to support cloud infrastructure operations, system automation, and security integration within the Cloud 1 environment.
Responsibilities
- Managing, maintaining, and optimizing AWS cloud infrastructure and resources within the Cloud 1 environment.
- Developing, deploying, and maintaining AWS LAMBDA functions to automate routine operational tasks and workflows.
- Configuring and executing Answer Files processes to facilitate automated system patching and deployment routines.
- Constructing, executing, and troubleshooting LDAP queries to manage identity and access services effectively.
- Engaging with the SEAM tool to maintain operational awareness, compliance monitoring, and system management.
- Collaborating with cross-functional technical teams and stakeholders to ensure system stability, security compliance, and high availability.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED with 7+ years of experience in system administration or cloud operations, or a Bachelor's Degree with 3+ years of relevant experience.
- Proven experience administering AWS cloud environments, specifically within a Cloud 1 infrastructure.
- Active DoD 8140/8570 IAT Level II Baseline Certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+ CE).
- Demonstrated experience developing and managing AWS LAMBDA functions for operational automation.
- Hands-on experience constructing and executing LDAP queries within enterprise environments.
- Practical experience using Answer Files to execute automated patching and provisioning procedures.
- Experience engaging with and using SEAM tools for cloud security and system monitoring.
- An active Secret clearance is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or equivalent cloud certifications.
- Experience with advanced scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) for infrastructure automation.
- Self-starter with excellent people skills — able to work across teams, organize meetings, and drive change throughout an organization.
- Familiarity with DoD security requirements and automated compliance tracking tools.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
- Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
