AWS Assurance Specialist, AWS Compliance & Security Assurance

About the role

Amazon Web Services (AWS) Security is seeking a Security Industry Specialist to join the AWS Security Assurance team. This team provides external stakeholders with transparent and confident assessments of AWS's security posture, compliance capabilities, and risk management practices.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple, sometimes competing, priorities simultaneously
• Distill complex and ambiguous technical problems to their core elements
• Translate problems into business and technical requirements and tactical actions
• Identify and engage subject matter experts across multiple organizations (tech and non-tech) and disciplines to define potential solutions
• Scope the cost, technical, and operational impact of potential solutions
• Develop recommendations based upon data
• Craft clear written and verbal communications about the problem, solutions and recommendations for audiences across functions and all levels (including executive leadership)
• Use technical knowledge, data and strong communication skills to influence partners, stakeholders, and leaders to drive clear and timely decisions

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in compliance program management, legal, governance, audit, risk/loss prevention, or equivalent
• Experience in research and investigation skills or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience establishing successful partnerships with internal and external teams to execute tactical initiatives or equivalent
• Experience in program or project management
• Experience handling confidential information
