AWS AI Cloud Engineer
As an AWS AI Cloud Engineer, you can resolve a problem with a complete end-to-end GenAI solution in a fast, agile environment. This role is more than just coding. As a software engineer, you’ll use your passion to master new tools and techniques and identify needed system improvements. You’ll help clients overcome their most difficult challenges using the latest architectural approaches, tools, and technologies. You’ll make sure the solution developed by the team considers the architecture and operating environment, as well as future functionality and enhancements. Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy production geospatial applications from concept to Operations and Maintenance (O&M)
- Use cutting-edge GenAI technologies to create enterprise-scale optimizations and modernizations for operational systems
- Apply cloud-native architecture patterns and AWS services to build scalable solutions
- Ensure solutions consider architecture, operating environment, and future enhancements
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with software development, including a cloud-first approach
- 2+ years of experience with Generative AI technologies and LLM deployment
- 2+ years of experience with AWS services and cloud-native architecture patterns, including ECS or EKS, Amazon Bedrock, CloudWatch, RDS, DynamoDB, IAM policies, security groups, and network security
- Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, or EKS) and container orchestration
- Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam
- Bachelor’s degree
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Authority to Operate (ATO) processes and security documentation
- Experience with API management, including batching, caching, throttling, and rate limiting
- Experience with LangGraph or LangChain
- Experience leading technical initiatives in large-scale environments
- Experience with system design, including scalability and reliability
- Knowledge of security best practices and compliance requirements
- TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
- AWS Certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified Developer)
- IAT Level II+ Certification (e.g., Security+ or CISSP)

Pay
The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). Salary is determined by various factors, including location, education, skills, competencies, experience, and contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.

Work model expectations:
- Remote: Primarily virtual, with occasional in-person work at a Booz Allen or customer facility.
- Hybrid: Frequent work from a Booz Allen facility, with potential visits to customer sites as needed.
- Onsite: Work primarily performed at a Booz Allen office or customer facility, with direct collaboration required.
For virtual and hybrid roles, employees are generally expected to have their cameras on during meetings to support engagement and effective communication.
