AVP, Workers Compensation Claims Technical

For our client, we are seeking a AVP, Workers Compensation Claims Technical to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This role will guide technical claims strategy for a workers' compensation operation, with a strong focus on claim quality, reserving, litigation management, and complex resolutions. The AVP will partner closely with executive leadership to improve operational effectiveness while supporting consistent, cost-effective outcomes. This leader will also coach a specialized team and serve as a key liaison to quality assurance efforts across the organization. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $120,000 – $145,000 annually Responsibilities Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of technical specialists Drive strategic initiatives to enhance claim quality and operational effectiveness Collaborate with executive leadership on claim management strategies that meet business goals Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team Provide expert guidance on complex workers' compensation claims and trends Oversee inventory management, reserving, and cost-effective claim resolution Act as the workers' compensation claims liaison for the quality assurance program Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Insurance, Risk Management, or a related field 10+ years of leadership experience in workers' compensation claims Expertise in claims handling, reserving, litigation management, and complex resolutions Proven experience leading teams in a matrixed organization Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills Demonstrated history of achieving operational excellence and positive business outcomes Benefits Opportunity to shape national workers' compensation claim strategy Lead a highly respected team of technical claim experts Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
