AVP/VP, Portfolio Manager, External Managers - Equities

What impact can you make in this role?

We seek a candidate to join our New York-based equities team as an Assistant Vice President / Vice President. You will be part of the GIC’s internal investment function where we award investment directives to external fund managers whose ability complements our own capabilities. The Equities team in External Managers oversees equity hedge strategies and benchmark relative portfolios across various geographies globally.

What will you do as an Equities Portfolio Manager with External Managers?

• Conduct fund manager due diligence, selection, monitoring, and portfolio construction.
• Perform quantitative and qualitative analyses on investments, strategies, and market dynamics.
• Diligence idiosyncratic or tactical market opportunities and co-investments.
• Help manage portfolios of hedge fund and long-only managers, and source ideas from those exchanges.

Qualifications or Skills

• 5-12 years of equities experience in an analytical role, on the buy-side or sell-side, or similar.
• Excellent analytical ability and intellectual curiosity.
• Exceptional team player who is also comfortable working independently.
• Strong communication skills.
• Strong academic credentials.
