Responsibilities
- Drive profitable growth by achieving monthly and annual production, profitability, and portfolio performance goals, including GWP, Loss Ratio, and Combined Ratio objectives.
- Make decisions that propel success by drawing on deep insight, data-driven analysis, and bold judgment.
- Build influential relationships with brokers and set a gold standard for customer service, inspiring your team and fortifying Argo Group’s reputation.
- Lead the charge in new business development: attend high-profile broker and industry events, forge impactful connections, and open doors throughout the Northeast.
Requirements
- Expert knowledge of US GL, Environmental, and Excess Liability, including product nuances, compliance, and risk management.
- Refined technical mastery in insurance underwriting.
- Proven talent for leading, inspiring, and developing underwriters into future stars.
- Sharp analytical skills to navigate financial statements and complex data.
- Exceptional broker communication, networking, and relationship-building prowess.
- Impeccable organizational and time management talents.

- 8+ years of Environmental/Excess experience.

Pay
The base salary range for this position is $185,900 - $223,100, and the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.

This role requires being primarily in the office, particularly for positions based in New York.
