AVP, Underwriting Director, Construction Property
About the role
Manage data analytics-based initiatives at a national level, providing insights and subsequent tangible action items
Partner with Technical Underwriting in guideline and Business Strategic Directive development
Spearhead SBU led efforts in underwriting quality, including file/regulatory documentation and Technical Underwriting Reviews/Audits
Work at the highest authority limits on assignments utilizing a high degree of technical complexity and coordination, and under minimal direction, underwrite and analyze new and renewal business within delegated authority levels of highly complex assignments.
Coverage of approximately 25% travel.
Responsibilities

Requirements
- Basic Qualifications: High School Diploma or Equivalent and 7 or more years of experience in the Underwriting or Market Facing area. OR High School Diploma or Equivalent and 14 or more years of experience in the Claims or Underwriting Support area OR Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 5 or more years of experience in the Underwriting or Market Facing area OR Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 12 or more years of experience in the Claims or Underwriting Support area AND Experience with Microsoft Office
- Preferred Qualifications: CPCU Advanced knowledge of Construction Property product lines, the commercial insurance and Construction/Engineering industry Strong Broker relationships Excellent communication skills Excellent skills in relationship building Strong presentation skills Results oriented
Qualifications

Pay
The proposed Salary range for this position is $130,000.00 - $215,000.00, with Global Specialty Incentive Plan bonus eligibility set at 40%.
