AVP, Territory Leader (Midwest)
About the role
The AVP, Territory Leader will manage relationships with Zurich's brokers and agents to deliver profitable growth by selling a broad and differentiated suite of commercial insurance solutions.
Responsibilities
- Acquire detailed knowledge of Zurich’s top trading partners including the brokers' business models and propositions
- Create business plans that optimize identified opportunities aligned with organizational market basket strategies
- Drive the underwriting team towards achieving financial growth targets by keeping Zurich front of mind with the broker community
- Market and communicate the long-term development of new revenue-producing programs, field personnel, and operational development through performance, financial, and operations management, and special projects
- Sell high-efficiency solutions in support of business and field development
- Coach and mentor underwriting teams
- Play a critical role as part of the Zurich regional leadership team
Requirements
- Basic Qualifications: Bachelors Degree and 7 or more years of experience in the Sales area OR High School Diploma or Equivalent and 9 or more years of experience in the Sales area OR Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 7 or more years of experience in the Sales area AND Leadership experience of multidisciplinary teams internally and externally
- Preferred Qualifications: Strong understanding of the commercial insurance industry from a market and underwriting perspective, strong broker network in the Great Lakes Region including Michigan and Indiana, strong verbal and written communications skills, experience creating long-term revenue-producing sales programs, ability to execute effective sales strategies, ability to identify business trends, changes in market conditions, and competitor activity, experience in account underwriting and agent/broker negotiations
Qualifications

Pay
Your pay at Zurich is based on your role, location, skills, and experience. We follow local laws to ensure fair compensation. You may also be eligible for bonuses and merit increases. The proposed Salary range for this position is $115,200.00 - $188,700.00, with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 20%. The pay range shown is a national average and may vary by location.
