Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage the preparation and filings of the US statutory financial statements and regulatory reports.
- Manage staff and provide guidance, prioritize workload, and ensure high-quality and timely deliverables.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of statutory filings including quarterly and annual statements, taxes, and regulatory disclosures.
- Review and approve statutory journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting documentation for regulatory disclosures.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, NAIC proposals and adoptions, and updates to Accounting Practices and Procedural manual.
- Liaise with external and internal auditors.
- Assist with state examination request and other regulatory request.
Requirements
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. CPA certification is preferred.
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of experience in insurance accounting, statutory reporting, and regulatory compliance.
Skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
