AVP, Software Engineer

About the role

The AVP, Sr. Software Engineer role is responsible for leading and contributing to the various Engineering projects that Revantage executes for the different PortCos and Blackstone. This position involves designing, developing and maintaining modern software solutions that lean on data to drive business insights and support critical decisions in our businesses.

Responsibilities

• Designing, developing and maintaining modern software solutions
• Driving business insights through data-driven decision making
• Leading and contributing to Engineering projects
• Building cloud-based solutions (Azure or AWS)
• Developing, hosting and supporting REST APIs
• Implementing event-driven, serverless, microservice-based, and scalable solutions in the cloud
• Recognizing the value of automation and test development early in the development process

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or related experience
• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in software engineering
• Significant experience developing applications in Python or .NET
• Significant experience in building cloud-based solutions (Azure or AWS)
• Experience building serverless (FaaS) workloads on Azure or AWS
• Solid understanding of event-based and containerized workloads
• Understanding of application logging and monitoring services and patterns
• Knowledge of testing methodologies, frameworks, and test-driven development

Pay

Base Compensation Range: $127,000.00 To $170,000.00 Annually. This represents the presently-anticipated low and high end of the Company’s base compensation range for this position. Actual base compensation range may vary based on various factors, including but not limited to location and experience.

Schedule

This position will be based at one of Revantage’s offices in Dallas or Chicago.
