Responsibilities
- Hands-On Development: Design, build, and maintain reusable code, deployment templates, and automation scripts for Fabric workloads. Focus on PowerBI, Fabric Data Agents, Fabric IQ, Foundry IQ.
- Service Ownership: Define and automate environment provisioning (capacities/workspaces, workspaces-as-code), onboarding, RBAC, secrets, and connectivity.
- Stand up end-to-end observability (data & AI asset monitoring, lineage, quality SLAs/SLOs) and continuously upgrade monitoring with domains.
- Customer Success: Partner with colleagues on the Platform and as well as the domain senior engineers to deliver tailored solutions and ensure adoption of best practices.
- Team Leadership: Mentor a team of engineers and architects.
- Innovation: Drive automation, governance, and operational excellence across services.
- Collaboration: Align services with Platform product roadmap and work closely with Domain Success teams.
Qualifications
- Experience: 10+ years in data/platform engineering, DevOps, or applied ML; 5+ years leading architecture or technical delivery in enterprise settings.
- Proven, hands-on expertise with Microsoft Fabric (Data Engineering/Lakehouse, Pipelines, Warehouse, Notebooks) and Fabric Git integration; strong Python/SQL; PowerShell for automation.
- Proven ability to scale teams and deliver enterprise-grade solutions.
- Ability to translate business objectives into technical solutions and service offerings.
- Strong mentoring and communication skills.
- Insurance industry experience preferred.
- Bonus: Prior delivery of multi-agent or Copilot Studio/Foundry solutions tied to business KPIs.
