About the Role

We are seeking a strategic, professional leader to join as an Assistant Vice President Market Manager, leading a group of community financial centers. This role involves achieving sales and revenue goals, delivering an outstanding member experience, driving growth, navigating change management, and supporting the team to help members achieve more with their money and lives.

Responsibilities

  • Leadership:
    • Conduct routine visits to Community Financial Centers (CFCs) to assess market and staffing needs.
    • Establish sales and revenue plans, managing results by setting high expectations for branch teams.
    • Lead the sales and revenue planning process, adjusting forecasts to meet or exceed performance goals.
    • Coach, develop, and mentor Assistant Managers and branch staff to enhance sales, service, and advisory skills.
    • Foster a culture of ongoing feedback, performance discussions, and employee engagement to improve retention.
    • Use Integrity Coaching principles and Member Advantage philosophy to evaluate progress and provide timely feedback.
  • Business Development:
    • Utilize market data and networking to solicit business services prospects and members for products and services.
    • Perform sales calls to existing and prospective members to grow business membership, deposits, and loans.
    • Understand business operations to provide consultative, needs-based solutions.
    • Maintain complete knowledge of all Business Banking products and services to make applicable recommendations.
  • Strategic:
    • Partner with the Management Team and Line of Business partners to identify business development opportunities.
    • Build brand awareness and own the community served by GTE Financial.
    • Develop and enable an engaged team to implement programs focused on deepening member relationships.
    • Recognize staff and share best practices to support team success.
    • Lead the roll-out of new products, services, and initiatives.
    • Collaborate with the Retail Leadership Team to develop and execute deposit and sales strategies to exceed growth goals.
  • Operational:
    • Maintain and adhere to risk management policies and procedures, ensuring compliance across teams.
    • Demonstrate functional knowledge of The Bank Secrecy Act, U.S. Patriot Act, Office of Foreign Assets & Control, Anti-Money Laundering, Right to Financial Privacy Act, and The Bank Bribery Act.
    • Qualify for NMLS registration according to the Safe Act.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, or a related field; commensurate years of experience may substitute for a degree.
  • Minimum ten years of experience, with at least five years of progressive management experience in a financial institution (Credit Union experience preferred).
  • Proven sales management skills with a history of achieving outstanding results.
  • Ten years of prior retail bank or credit union lending experience.

Schedule

Full-time position with core hours of Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Additional hours may be required to accomplish objectives, goals, and projects.
