About the role
The AVP, Financial Planning Experience is a highly visible leadership role within the firm’s National Planning Institute (NPI), serving as the face of the financial planning team to financial advisors, leadership, and internal partners.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the National Planning Institute leadership to design, enhance, and maintain financial planning standards and frameworks.
- Partner with leadership on the development, implementation and adoption of additional HNW and UHNW products and services.
- Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging best practices to continuously evolve the firm’s planning approach.
- Support pilot programs, initiatives, and special projects tied to planning innovation and advisor experience.
- Act as a liaison between advisors, planning teams, and technology/product partners to improve the end-to-end planning experience.
- Ensure consistent, high-quality planning outcomes that align with the firm’s brand, client promise, and fiduciary standards.
- Contribute to the development and deployment of advisor-facing planning tools, resources, templates, and technology solutions.
- Lead or support training programs, continuing education, and workshops related to financial planning capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 10+ years of financial services or wealth management experience
- Strong working knowledge of comprehensive financial planning principles and client-centric planning practices
- Experience supporting or partnering with financial advisors in a complex wealth management environment
- Demonstrated ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly and effectively to diverse audiences
- Proven track record of cross-functional collaboration and influence without direct authority
- Comfortable working in a national, matrixed organization with multiple stakeholders
- Advisor-centric mindset with a focus on experience and outcomes
- Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation capabilities
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and judgment
- Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Pay
$140,000 - $165,000 per year + annual bonus
Actual compensation offered will be determined individually, based on a number of job-related factors, including location, skills, experience, and education.
Schedule
Our employees are currently working on a hybrid schedule requiring a minimum of 4 days weekly in the office.
