Responsibilities
- Validate actuarial values and modeling systems for various annuity products and pension risk transfer
- Collaborate with vendors and consultants to ensure accurate calculation of actuarial values
- Forecast financial impacts and communicate findings with Finance stakeholders
- Engage in regulatory monitoring and industry workgroups to impact valuation standards
- Influence future accounting rules and analyze their financial implications for management
- Directly communicate with regulators and provide internal thought leadership on regulation implementation
- Oversee financial reporting controls and collaborate with internal/external auditors
- Lead talent development and performance management for the Actuarial team
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or related technical fields
- FSA and MAAA designations preferred
- 10+ years of actuarial related experience
- Extensive experience with actuarial modeling and accounting software (e.g., Polysystems, ALFA, GGY AXIS)
- Strong leadership and team management skills
Pay
$154,000 – $290,000 annually
