As a SkyWest A&P Mechanic, you will be part of a dynamic team that works nose-to-tail on our growing fleet of aircraft. This role offers opportunities to develop new skills, join a supportive community of mechanics, and make a significant impact on SkyWest operations.

Responsibilities

• Effectively troubleshoot all aircraft systems
• Make critical decisions regarding aircraft safety in a timely manner
• Proficiently handle all documentation and paperwork, including parts paperwork
• Perform avionics inspections, routine maintenance (like FOQA downloads), and troubleshooting systems in a hangar environment
• Test, troubleshoot, and complete repairs on components in a shop environment
• May be required to work on aircraft systems
• May apply for Avionics Tech position to acquire FCC Radio License

Requirements

• Valid, unrestricted driver's license
• Valid FAA-issued A&P certificate
• Preferred experience and training in avionics, electronics, or related fields
• Eighteen months' experience in the avionics industry
• Must meet all FAA and safety requirements
• Familiar with manuals, schematics, and aircraft maintenance procedures
• Self-starter, team player, and effective manual user
• Comfortable lifting 60 lbs. routinely
• Valid, unrestricted driver's license
• Basic avionics skills and a minimum set of tools

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited avionics school
• Military training in avionics or electronics
• Associate's degree or higher in electronics
• Eighteen months' experience in the avionics industry
• A&P certification with previous avionics experience
