Responsibilities
- Meet all FAA and safety-related requirements
- Effectively troubleshoot all aircraft systems
- Makes timely, critical decisions regarding aircraft safety
- Proficient in all documentation and paperwork, including parts paperwork
- Perform avionics inspections, routine maintenance (e.g., FOQA downloads), and troubleshooting systems
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Valid, unrestricted driver's license
- Valid FAA-issued A&P certificate
- Eighteen months' experience in the avionics industry
- Meet all FAA and safety requirements
- Possess basic avionics skills
- Comfortably lift 60 lbs. routinely, with or without reasonable accommodation
- This is a Department of Transportation safety-sensitive position
Qualifications
- Graduated from an accredited avionics school
- Military training in avionics or electronics
- Associate's degree or higher in electronics
- Possess problem-solving and organizational skills
- Work history demonstrating self-starter, teamwork, and effective use of aircraft manuals
Skills
- Basic avionics skills
- Read and understand company, manufacturer, and wire-diagram manuals, including schematics
- Work varying shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Exercise good judgment in working with people in a team environment as well as in aircraft maintenance and safety
Benefits
Eligible for a $7,500 bonus with a commitment to remain employed with SkyWest for a minimum of three years.
