Avionics Metrology Test Equipment-Mechanical Engineer with Security Clearance
Description
NSI requires a Mechanical Engineer to support the Fleet Readiness Center Southeast (FRCSE), Metrology Division. In this role you will provide full-spectrum Mechanical Engineering Support in the production environment within the FRCSE. The Metrology divisions support the Fleet using a multitude of test benches/Test Program Sets/Common Support Equipment (CSE) and Peculiar Support Equipment (PSE) providing end products to the U.S. Naval Aviation Fleet.
Essential Job Functions
- Apply Mechanical engineering knowledge in support of the design, development, T&E, implementation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and administration of new and/or existing test equipment and support equipment systems.
- The candidate will collaborate, plan and execute in support of repair efforts.
- Prefer experience is some/all of the following: Hardness, Gas Pressure, Liquid Pressure, Helium Leak rate, Gas Flow, Air Velocity, Torque, Scales & Balance, Humidity, Acceleration, Vibration and Mass.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university.
Experience
- 10 years of experience and at preferably 5 years of Department of Defense experience.
Allowable Substitutions
A Master's Degree plus 5 years of experience.
