Avionics Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift - 1072

About the role

The Avionics Maintenance Technician position is available on a second shift schedule from Monday to Thursday, from 3 PM to 1 AM. The shift incentive includes a 10% to 15% premium, paid lunch, three-day weekends, formal airframe training, and eligibility to transfer to first shift after three years.

Responsibilities

• Perform general avionics support items on aircraft, including removal and installation of panels and components and repair work.
• Troubleshoot and evaluate systems on the aircraft when designated.
• Inspect and evaluate the aircraft and components when designated.
• Aircraft movement and performance verification of systems.
• Maintenance and repair of shop facility, equipment, and tooling to support operations.
• Work with customers in project management, pricing, and customer support roles.
• Work independently on projects.
• Effectively and clearly communicate (i.e., speak, write, read) in English.
• Basic computer skills to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases.

Requirements

• A High school diploma or equivalent.
• Electronics or Avionics factory training is preferred.
• A valid driver's license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• Tech I: 0-2 years of experience in avionics, military avionics, or electrical field.
• Tech II: 2-4 years of experience in avionics or military avionics field, considerable knowledge of the job with a broad understanding of detailed aspects.
• Tech III: 4-6 years of experience in avionics or military avionics field, full knowledge of the job and complete understanding of detailed aspects, limited supervision required.
• Master Technician: 6+ years’ experience with corporate/business avionics systems, exclusive knowledge in all areas of the job, subject matter expert.
