About the role

Ensures timely completion of a quality product for an assigned function area. Capable of stepping into and fulfilling Production Supervisor responsibilities for short periods.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all tasks are promptly completed in compliance with federal regulations, customer guidelines, and company policies, and that employees work efficiently on assigned tasks.
• Monitor and correct routine and non-routine labor hours to prevent exceeding allotted estimated hours; ensure job revisions are turned in before exceeding estimated hours.
• Conduct daily and impromptu crew meetings to communicate significant information to maintenance crews.
• Facilitate on-the-job training through work assignments and mentoring, ensuring timely completion of OJT paperwork per ATS requirements.
• Provide regular feedback and performance coaching to all members of the assigned crew.
• Assist in researching all necessary parts needed for the job.
• Review required customer and FAA paperwork to ensure proper maintenance updates and compliance with applicable regulations and customer requirements.
• Perform maintenance tasks as required and become an active member of the crew.
• Develop technical and leadership skills of mechanics.
• Direct the work of assigned employees, including time management, task prioritization, ensuring proper knowledge and training, and adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Communicate with supervisor regarding all information on assigned employees, including disciplinary problems, and make recommendations for evaluations.
• Properly utilize avionics test equipment to perform systems tests and stay current with new and advanced test equipment.
• Maintain and properly utilize avionics hand tools for repairs and installations.
• Operate ground support equipment (e.g., power carts, Hi-Reach) as required.
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance and demonstrate effective and appropriate conduct with co-workers.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Must hold an airframe or repairman certification in accordance with FAR 65 and have at least 24 months of practical experience in procedures, practices, inspection methods, materials, tools, machine tools, and equipment generally used in the area of responsibility.
• Airframe or repairman license is required.

Physical demands

• Work within confined or small spaces, sit, use hands and arms, and talk or hear; focus on objects close up.
• Ascend ladders of varying sizes; stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly, occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally, with help, lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Must have full color vision and visual acuity with or without corrective lenses.

Pay

The full base pay range for this position is $33–$50 per hour (DOE), not including bonuses or benefits. Pay is based on experience, skills, education, and internal equity. This position is also eligible for an annual performance bonus.

Schedule

Friday through Monday, 3:00 PM – 1:30 AM.
