Our avionics team is at the center of that growth: the skilled hands behind every installation, modification, and panel rework that leaves our floor. Duties

  • Perform general avionics support items on aircraft. This shall include, but not be limited to, removal and installation of panels, components, and interiors, as well as repair work on avionics installations.
  • Fabricate, stamp, bundle, and install connectors and wire harnesses in aircraft per approved data and applicable wiring diagrams.
  • Removal of old wiring and installation of new wire bundles in aircraft.
  • Troubleshooting and evaluation of avionics systems on the aircraft when designated, including Nav, Comm, GPS, transponders, autopilots, EFIS, and audio systems.
  • Inspection and evaluation of the aircraft and components when designated.
  • Maintenance and repair of shop facility, equipment, and tooling to support operations.
  • Accurately document all work performed in accordance with Omni’s Repair Station Manual and Quality Department requirements.

Qualifications

  • Experience & Training: 1+ years of experience in aircraft avionics installation and maintenance preferred. A&P certificate preferred but not required.
  • Technical Knowledge: Solid working knowledge of FAA regulations, Part 43, and Part 145 repair station procedures. Strong understanding of aircraft airframe and electronics systems, with experience across multiple business jet airframes.
  • Work Standards: Self-motivated with exceptional attention to detail; able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced shop environment. Must be at least 18 years of age, hold a high school diploma or equivalent, and possess a valid U.S. driver’s license.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Routine walking, bending, squatting, kneeling, and working in confined spaces in and around aircraft. Repetitive physical motion with arms and hands (crimping, routing, soldering); standing and working for extended periods. Ability to work in all weather conditions, including the variable temperature environment of a hangar and flight line. Travel required, up to 25% - 50%.
