Avionic Technician

About the Role

As the Production Hangar Avionics F-16 Technician on the Lockheed Martin Greenville Production Team, you will be responsible for production line installations of electrical harnesses and wires, continuity testing, and soldering/termination operations.

Responsibilities

• Install electrical harnesses and components
• Route various wires and cables
• Terminate cables and wires
• Perform operational checks
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and avionics systems based on assigned area
• Perform general mechanic installations, testing, and inspections
• Maintain a safe and efficient work environment, ensuring a clean, FOD-free work area
• Properly use, handle, and dispose of hazardous materials and toxic or caustic chemicals per government regulations and company procedures
• Perform repetitive movements, work overhead, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
• Comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

Requirements

• Ability to use hands to grasp, handle, and feel, as well as reach with hands and arms
• Frequently stand, walk, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, twist, and work on or in the aircraft
• Frequently lift and/or push or pull up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
• Specific vision abilities including close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
• Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required
• Ability to work in environments exposed to vibration
• Must be able to work any shift, including weekends
• Must be available to start on 8/24/2026

Schedule

• 1st Shift: Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM
• 2nd Shift: Monday–Thursday, 4:30 PM–3:00 AM
• Weekend Shift: Thursday–Sunday, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM (possible)

Training will initially be on the first shift before transitioning to the final assigned shift.
