AVID Tutor (Effective 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR)

Summary Under supervision, the AVID Tutor will assist students in achieving academic goals utilizing AVID methodologies through individual tutoring and/or training in study groups, assist in the preparation of instructional materials, and perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements Must be at least 18 years of age.Currently Enrolled College Student, with a minimum of 30 Credit hours AND Minimum 2.5 GPA ORCollege Graduate with minimum 2.5 GPA ORPrior or current College Enrollment with less than thirty hours, with a minimum 2.5 GPA AND Completion of AZ Dept. of Education-approved Academic Assessment TestVerbal & written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions. Copy of test results must be submitted prior to employment. Requirements Prior To Start Date Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunizationFBI fingerprint background check Preferred Requirements Prior tutoring experience COMMENTS Effective: 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR Location: Tucson High Magnet School 6th St. & Euclid Area Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.
