Aviation Structures Instructor

About the Role

GP Strategies Government Solutions has an immediate need for an Aircraft Structures Instructor to support a large aerospace client in Ridley Park, PA. This is a full-time, regular position focused on delivering training covering a broad range of structures subject matter, including but not limited to Heavy Structures, Drill and Fill, Fastener Install and Removal, Bond and Ground, and Sealing.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and perform training using classroom, computer-based training (CBT), distance learning, simulations, on-the-job (OJT), coaching, and job-aids to meet business needs.
• Assess and test employee competence in tasks requiring certification or qualification to comply with government and organizational standards.
• Navigate and interpret technical documents, including manufacturing/repair documents and blueprints (detail, assembly, or installation drawings).
• Collaborate with management and clients to understand work situations and deliver training in specified technical areas.
• Evaluate training programs and report on trainee progress.
• Maintain and update training programs and materials.
• Prepare training areas to ensure they are ready for instruction.

Requirements

• Education, training, or prior aerospace experience in aircraft structures, including Heavy Structures, Drill and Fill, Fastener Install and Removal, Bond and Ground, and Sealing (preferred).
• Presentation skills or a background in training/teaching.
• Ability to travel 10-15% if needed.

Physical Requirements

• Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects.
• Fingering (typing), communicating, and repetitive motions.
• Close visual acuity to prepare and analyze data, view computer monitors, and read.
• Ability to view presentation screens and other visual aids, potentially in a virtual setting.
• Work is performed indoors with protection from outside elements.
