About the role
Garver's experienced Aviation Team in the Frisco, TX office is seeking a motivated civil engineering student to join our team to train and mentor as an Aviation Site Civil Engineering Intern.
Internship description
- Work alongside and be mentored by experienced aviation design professionals and industry leaders
- Receive training from senior engineers in various elements of private development on and adjacent to airport environments providing design and construction oversight for general aviation and commercial service airports
- Visit Garver's Aviation project sites, such as airport hangars and other airport support facilities
- Gain experience in the competitive consulting engineering industry by assisting with planned development, project administration, and submitting proposals

Requirements
- Must be pursuing a civil engineering degree from an ABET accredited program
- Strong interest in pursuing civil engineering in the aviation private development industry
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred skills
- Experience with AutoCAD or Civil3D
Work environment
This is an in-office position; duties and responsibilities are generally performed in an office setting. Occasional travel to offsite locations to perform work and work-related tasks or to attend meetings may be required.
