Core Responsibilities
- Provide input, technical assistance, and recommendations on airport planning studies.
- Prepare draft sections of reports and deliverables based on verbal and written input from others.
- Aid in developing and formatting tables, charts, and maps that relate to existing and proposed airport planning studies.
- Develop and maintain electronic data files.
- Perform capacity and requirements analyses of airport facilities, develop alternatives and layout plans, and provide support for accompanying graphics.
- Conduct field observations and investigations and collect data supporting airport planning studies.
- Consult with colleagues and senior staff concerning the compiling, analyzing, and presenting of research data for airport planning studies.
- Respond to requests for data and information from internal staff and external clients.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a field providing a strong foundation for aviation consulting, such as engineering, architecture, planning, or aviation management.
- 3 to 5 years of experience, with increasing responsibility in a related field.
- An intellectual curiosity to learn and self-educate, along with the ability to work independently and in a team environment on various projects and tasks.
- Familiarity with the airport and airline industry or a desire to learn and grow in the aviation industry.
- Familiarity with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Advisory Circulars, Engineering Briefs, and other industry planning/design guidance documents.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Exceptional verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in various analytical, production, and visualization software, including AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and other visualization software, and Microsoft 365 products, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- A willingness to travel to support Ricondo’s project portfolio.
Additional Preferred Technical Skills
- Knowledge of general airport facility planning methods, practices, and principles.
- Understanding of research techniques, sources of current aviation industry information, and analytical methods.
- Knowledge of computer applications pertaining to planning functions, including statistical and spreadsheet applications and databases.
- The ability to research, organize, and analyze information to formulate effective recommendations.
- The ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with staff at client organizations.

- Detail-oriented: For analytical and technical writing assignments, communicate technical information to nontechnical audiences and edit for consistency and grammar.

- Hightly organized: Plan and prioritize work assignments and demonstrate ability to manage concurrent assignments with different teams.

Pay Range
The base pay range for this role is $77,000 to $118,000. The base salary range/hourly rate established for a job offer is dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors, such as experience, education, and skills.
