Aviation Safety Inspector, APOI (Air Carrier Flight Oversight)

About the role

The Assistant Principal Oversight Inspector (APOI) serves as a full assistant to a Principal Inspector, performing a full range of certification, surveillance, and inspection duties for assigned air carriers, air operators, air agencies, airmen, and designees. The role involves program responsibility to ensure that assigned organizations comply with Title 14 of the Code of Federal Regulations (14 CFR) regarding flight operations programs. Additionally, the APOI assists in establishing work programs for inspection and surveillance.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Principal Inspector in certification, surveillance, and inspection duties for air carriers, air operators, air agencies, airmen, and designees.
• Ensure assigned organizations meet the requirements of Title 14 of the Code of Federal Regulations (14 CFR) related to flight operations programs.
• Assist in the establishment and management of work programs for inspection and surveillance activities.
