As an Aviation Project Manager, you will play a vital role in winning, managing, and delivering high-quality, profitable projects that exceed client expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage single-discipline projects and contribute to multidisciplinary efforts
  • Oversee the on-time submittal of technical work products and deliverables
  • Schedule/lead internal and external project meetings to maintain project progress
  • Coordinate with resource managers to ensure adequate staffing is assigned to projects
  • Prepare scope of work and fee breakdowns that result in financial success for the firm
  • Monitor project financials, burn rate, and earned value and take appropriate action to make adjustments as needed
  • Identify project changes quickly and obtain contract amendments or conduct other change management activities as needed
  • Participate in business development and marketing efforts by meeting with clients and teaming partners, identifying leads for future work, and collaborating with others to successfully propose and win
  • Manage communications between client, DOWL, and/or subconsultant staff
  • Provide management and leadership for multiple projects of moderate size and complexity
  • Lead the development of scope, schedule, and budget for projects
  • Ensure project quality, client satisfaction, and financial outcomes of assigned projects
  • Work independently with minimal oversight to complete pursuit development and business development tasks
  • Follow established procedures and exercise independent judgment on administrative projects under broad minimal management direction
  • Supervise team operations and the daily workflow of the team
  • Recruit and hire new employees
  • Implement training for new hires and identify training opportunities for current staff
  • Communicate information from leadership to employees and vice versa
  • Maintain employee productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching
  • Set goals for performance and deadlines in ways that comply with company’s plans and vision and communicate them to employees
  • Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations
  • Handle discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 6 years of experience required (0 years as a PM)
  • 5 years of experience required with advanced degree (0 years as a PM)
  • PE, PMP, or equivalent required (depending on discipline)
  • DOWL PM certification required
  • Valid driver’s license required to support legitimate business purposes

Qualifications

  • Clear understanding of project-related technical terms and fundamentals
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
  • Proficient in software such as Projectwise, Newforma, Deltek Vision, UKG, Bluebeam
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills in both a leadership and supporting role
  • Experience with business development and marketing efforts
  • Ability to manage communications between client, DOWL, and/or subconsultant staff
  • Ability to serve as a company ambassador that fosters client satisfaction and loyalty

Pay

The salary range for this position is $115,668.00 - $173,502.00. In addition to base salary, employees may be entitled to other forms of compensation depending on the type, duties, or location of the position.

Schedule
