About the role

Ardurra is seeking an experienced Aviation Project Manager (PE) to join our dynamic Aviation Group in the Greater Seattle market. This role offers the opportunity to work on impactful aviation projects while enjoying the flexibility of a fully remote work environment. While the position is remote, regular travel to Wenatchee, WA (typically 1–4 times per month) is required.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee projects and serve as a client manager for airport design and construction projects within specific regions
  • Provide mentoring to junior staff and QA/QC
  • Project planning, regulatory approvals, environmental compliance, financial planning, legislative strategy, land acquisition, and design phasing
  • Lead projects from design to completion
  • Project management, marketing, and client development
  • Staff supervision and mentoring
  • Quality control of project design and contract documents
  • Office support during construction

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
  • PE License required (or Engineer in Training (EIT) certification)
  • 8+ years' experience in the airport design and/or construction field, either in private industry or government service
  • Airport design and project management experience
  • Aviation engineering & construction administration experience
  • Strong knowledge of FAA advisory circulars related to airport design and the FAA grant process
  • Strong computer skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to lead and mentor existing staff and develop new staff
  • Self-motivated, team-oriented individual with the ability to work on challenging projects in a team environment

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Ability to navigate various locations and settings of the company
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to safely operate a vehicle
  • Ability to travel for site visits, client meetings, etc.

Pay

$140,000 - $190,000
