MTU Maintenance Dallas provides hospital shop and on-site maintenance services.
Responsibilities
- Safely disassemble aircraft engines and components according to OEM and regulatory procedures.
- Document and tag components for traceability and routing.
- Identify and report discrepancies or damage during teardown.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of parts to prevent contamination or damage.
- Perform detailed visual and dimensional inspections using precision instruments (e.g., borescopes, micrometers, calipers).
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance and Engineering teams to assess part condition and repairability.
- Carry out minor repairs or prepare components for external repair stations.
- Maintain accurate records of inspection findings and repair actions.
- Reassemble engines following OEM specifications and work instructions.
- Apply correct torque values, clearances, and alignments during assembly.
- Replace seals, gaskets, bearings, and other consumables as required.
- Conduct functional checks and verify system integrity before testing.
- Support engine test cell operations including pre-test setup and post-test evaluations.
- Monitor engine performance parameters during testing (e.g., thrust, vibration, fuel flow).
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues identified during test runs.
- Absorb engines for release to service or shipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with 6S standards.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and lean practices.
- Attend training sessions to stay current with OEM updates and regulatory changes.
- Support audits and inspections by regulatory bodies (e.g., FAA, EASA).
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical diploma or associate degree in aviation maintenance preferred.
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification or equivalent (EASA Part-66, etc.) preferred.
- Experience in engine maintenance, preferably in a DAT MRO environment.
- Strong understanding of engine systems, components, and maintenance procedures.
- Familiarity with OEM manuals (e.g., CMM, AMM, IPC) and digital maintenance platforms.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and in a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Excellent work ethic and motivation for a high standard of work

Qualifications
- Passport Preferred or the ability to obtain one
- Global Travel as Required
- Represent the company in a professional manner and reflect a positive image with customers
Skills
- High school diploma preferred; A&P License is acceptable but must have Powerplant license at the very least
- Must have large engine experience in a setting other than line maintenance. Military Experience is acceptable if the experience is from an engine shop background
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of physical ergonomics
- Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times
