About the role
Aveanna Healthcare is seeking a Licensed Practical / Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) to provide care to patients in Melbourne, aged 13 and older, with low acuity and gastrostomy tubes. The position offers flexible scheduling options, including nights and weekends.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate and skilled nursing care to patients in their homes.
- Document patient care using electronic tablets provided by Aveanna.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care plans.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean, safe environment.
- Assist with daily living activities as needed.
Requirements
- Maintain an active, unencumbered license (LPN/LVN) in the state of practice.
- Current CPR certification (with hands-on component).
- TB skin test (within the last 12 months).
- Six months of hands-on nursing experience preferred.
Qualifications
- Reliable transportation.
Skills
Strong communication skills, ability to work independently, and a compassionate nature are essential.
