Job Summary Are you interested in gaining professional experience with video, audio and/or educational technologies like Canvas and Zoom? This position provides learning on the job and a flexible schedule while working with and supporting a wide variety of video, streaming and audiovisual technologies and tasks! This part-time, on-campus position is ideal for students or someone needing a position that can schedule around other commitments. A UTA pass is provided to all employees. Under general supervision, provides support for Digital Learning Technologies (DLT) classroom and events video/av services, Operates cameras and videoconferencing systems, customer service and technical support to DLT customers in classrooms and at the DLT Service Desk. About UIT: University Information Technology (UIT), the central IT service provider for the University of Utah, reports to the U's Chief Information Officer and is responsible for many of the U's shared IT services including the wired and wireless network; Campus Information Services (CIS) portal; UMail, telephone, and online collaboration; digital learning technologies; information security; software licensing; and a host of other IT systems and services. Responsibilities Provides customer service and technical support to clients in person and on the phoneRecords and monitors video from one or multiple camerasOperates video conferencing over interactive video conferencing (IVC) systemsDelivers audiovisual equipment to University campus classrooms and departmentsMaintains, cleans, organizes equipment and may perform minor repairsTroubleshoots video and audio recording devicesCommunicates effectively with faculty, staff, and others involved in facilitating video projectsOrganizes and maintains videos in a computer databaseSchedules equipment rental for campus classes and eventsAdministrative duties as needed Minimum Qualifications Preferences Audio-visual technical aptitudeKnowledge of media-production Special Instructions Requisition Number: PRN17456N Full Time or Part Time?
