Key Responsibilities
- System Assessment: Review and evaluate existing enterprise AV systems, infrastructure, configurations, and lifecycle risks.
- Procurement & RFP Management: Lead the development, technical requirements definition, and sourcing for a new AV service contractor RFP process. Coordinate vendor walkthroughs, evaluate proposals, and support contract negotiations.
- Oversight: Direct daily/weekly activities of the AV maintenance contractor, ensuring strict adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and industry best practices. Review maintenance logs, service reports, and track system uptime KPIs.
- Lifecycle Replacement: Manage the end-to-end evaluation, replacement strategy, and deployment of a new hospital-wide wireless duress/man-down system.
- Compliance: Define technical and operational requirements, ensuring seamless integration with existing safety/security dispatch systems and compliance with HCAI standards.
- Implementation Oversight: Coordinate testing, commissioning, safety verification, and formal system acceptance.
- Liaison Management: Serve as the central point of contact between SMMC and the medical CCTV Service and Maintenance contractor.
- Risk Mitigation: Identify system vulnerabilities, recording/retrieval functionality failures, contractor delays, or compliance gaps.
- Performance Monitoring: Conduct strict quality inspections of completed work, approve maintenance billing/invoicing, and maintain KPI dashboards.
- Act as the Owner's Technical Representative across IT, Facilities, and Clinical Security teams.
- Develop and maintain integrated project schedules, track expenditures/budgets, and provide comprehensive monthly status reports to executive stakeholders.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 5+ years of proven technical project management or systems engineering experience.
- Domain Expertise: Demonstrated experience managing enterprise AV environments (Crestron environments highly preferred) and a strong familiarity with enterprise CCTV/VMS platforms.
- Industry Context: Previous experience working within a healthcare facility, hospital system, or government environment is highly preferred.
- Life Safety Systems: Practical knowledge or exposure to managing life safety, panic alarm, or wireless duress/man-down systems.
- Procurement Savvy: Proven track record authoring or managing technical scopes of work for formal RFP processes.
- Communication: Elite interpersonal skills with the ability to confidently present tech metrics to non-technical hospital administrators and clinical leadership.
