About The Position We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, tech-savvy Technician or Lead Technician for our Potomac-based branch (serving MoCo, NOVA, DC, and broader metro DC area). The successful applicant is service-oriented, client-focused, and proficient at installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting low-voltage integrated system equipment, devices, and components. What You'll Be Doing Install, configure, service, and troubleshoot integrated AV, networking, lighting, shading, control, and other home automation systemsInterpret project blueprints and system schematics to execute installations accuratelyParticipate in site setup, rack buildouts, cable/panels/low-voltage terminations (as needed), and final system acceptance with clients Maintain remote access, monitoring, and service protocols for deployed systems; proactively support client systems for reliability and serviceability Act as the on-site point of contact for clients, designers, builders, and architectsEnsure clean, code-compliant, and high-performance installationsStay up to date on smart home industry trends, new integrations, and automation best practices Mentor and lead junior technicians as neededMaintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment in excellent conditionDeliver service that meets Daisy’s standards for quality, reliability, safety, and professionalism What You Bring To The Team At least 3–5 years of hands-on experience with AV, networking, and smart home technologiesMastery of basic wiring/cabling for low-voltage integrated systems (including panels, and junction boxes); electrician’s license preferredAbility to perform system configuration, calibration, programming, testing, and troubleshootingProficiency with Control4 systems; experience with Savant, Crestron, Josh is a plusIndustry certifications (CEDIA, AVIXA, manufacturer certifications, etc.) preferred Proficiency with Lutron products and installationPositive, customer-focused attitude, professional work ethic, and strong leadership, communication, problem solving, and customer service skills, with the ability to lead projects and mentor othersMotivated to learn new technologies and processesPhysically capable of lifting, kneeling, and climbingClean driving record and valid driver’s licenseMust pass a background check and drug screening What We Offer Competitive compensationBonus based on performanceFlexible scheduleEmployee discounts and benefitsReferral Bonus for bringing in other team membersWorld Class Training, Development and Technician SupportCareer Pathways & Upward Mobility $35-$55/hr The position will begin part-time, with the opportunity to transition to full-time Additional Information We maintain a smoke-, drug-, and alcohol-free workplace on-site and when representing Daisy.
