About the role

We are seeking an experienced AV / Smart Home Technician to install, configure, troubleshoot, and service residential technology systems in luxury homes. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with AV, networking, low-voltage wiring, electrical systems, security, or smart home technology. Residential AV experience is preferred but not required for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

  • Install and configure TVs, projectors, home theaters, architectural speakers, and whole-home audio systems.
  • Install, terminate, test, and label Cat6, fiber, coax, speaker, and control wiring.
  • Install networking equipment including switches, Wi-Fi access points, and structured wiring.
  • Install surveillance cameras, video doorbells, touchscreens, and video distribution systems.
  • Install lighting control systems, motorized shades, and power panels.
  • Build, wire, label, and organize equipment racks.
  • Read construction drawings and coordinate with builders, electricians, and designers.
  • Troubleshoot, test, and service installed systems.
  • Provide professional customer service in luxury residential environments.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and professional work areas.
  • Ensure installations are completed accurately and according to project specifications.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on installation and troubleshooting experience in AV, smart home technology, networking, low-voltage, electrical, security, or related fields.
  • Ability to read construction drawings and wiring diagrams.
  • Strong understanding of residential networking and structured wiring.
  • Ability to terminate, test, label, and troubleshoot various cable types.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Professional communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in luxury residential construction environments.
  • Relevant certifications or manufacturer training are a plus.
