AV Engineering Specialist
About the role
The AV Engineering Specialists supports the technical operations of Facilities Management by ensuring the reliable performance of the institutional cable and IPTV, Free to Guest and On Demand TV systems, audiovisual control systems. As part of a service-focused technical environment, the AV Engineering Specialists plays a key role in maintaining and designing the audio/video capabilities for classrooms, conference rooms, auditoriums and institutional events. The AV Engineering Specialists works closely with internal teams and clients to deliver dependable operational support.
Responsibilities
- Supports the technical operations of Facilities Management by ensuring the reliable performance of the institutional cable and IPTV, Free to Guest and On Demand TV systems, audiovisual control systems.
- Maintains and designs audio/video capabilities for classrooms, conference rooms, auditoriums and institutional events.
- Works closely with internal teams and clients to deliver dependable operational support.
- Supports project management, operations and maintenance of Cable TV, RF&IPTV, FTG and On Demand TV equipment, Multimedia, Streaming Video, AV Control Systems, and related equipment to meet manufacturers, FCC, rules & regulations, and established Avixa Industry Standards for the above systems.
- Provides audio visual, broadcast and conferencing support.
- Maintains and installs multimedia audio/video systems.
- Operates in a knowledgeable and efficient manner, all Audio Visual equipment and systems used in daily TOC and Event Operations activities.
- Supports television engineering for productions.
- Assists the management team with assigned tasks and projects as required.
Requirements
- Extensive experience as an AV Technician / Field Engineer.
- Ability to manage projects and complex timelines.
- Experience maintaining and troubleshooting enterprise-level Audio Visual systems.
- AMX, Crestron or QSYS programming experience recommended.
- Detail-oriented, skilled in audiovisual systems, and experienced in maintaining and troubleshooting videoconference, multimedia, or broadcast technologies.
- A background in installing or operating cable TV, control systems, or related equipment.
- Any certifications in audiovisual technologies or electronics.
- Strong customer service skills and experience supporting live events.
- Strong engineering, design, and advanced troubleshooting capabilities.
Qualifications
- Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Preferred: Associate's Degree in Electronics discipline.
- Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Electronics discipline.
- Required: 7 years Relevant experience.
Skills
- Audio Visual, Broadcast and Conferencing support.
- Multimedia Audio/Video systems maintenance, commissioning and installation.
- Audio/Video systems operations.
- Television engineering support for television productions.
- Crestron, AMX, Extron, Biamp and Q-Sys Lua programming.

Pay
$60,500 - $75,500 - $90,500
Schedule
Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm; some after-hours and occasional weekend work may occur.
Location
Facility Center and other locations based on project needs.
